The FBI's most wanted criminal, the 'Unabomber', had terrorised America with mail bombs for 16 years. By the summer of 1995, the national obsession with the Unabomber's identity reached a climax when the Washington Post published his eight-page manifesto. David Kaczynski had no more interest in the story than anyone else - until his wife suggested that the Unabomber might, in fact, be David's brother, Ted/Theordore Kaczynski.

Ted was a maths genius, who had been a Berkeley professor before he dropped out of society and retreated to a small cabin in the Montana wilderness. After wrestling with his conscience, David Kaczynski approached the FBI with his concerns - knowing that if his brother was found to be the Unabomber, he would most likely be sentenced to death. He secured from the FBI a guarantee of anonymity but, when his brother was arrested and charged, the press were alerted that the tip-off had come from the Unabomber's own brother. Eventually, Ted admitted the Unabomber crimes in a plea bargain that spared him the death penalty. He remains in prison and has never replied to monthly letters from his family.

Doctor Withheld Information on Foiled Glasgow Bomb Attacks - Apr 11, 2008
A doctor whose brother died after staging a failed suicide car bombing at Glasgow airport pleaded guilty Friday to withholding information from police about that and two other attacks. Sabeel Ahmed, 26, originally from Bangalore in India, was arrested last June after two cars containing petrol, gas cylinders and detonators were found in London and a burning car was driven into the airport the next day. 21/7 BOMBER WIFE 'KNEW OF PLANNED TERROR ATTACKS'
Yeshshiemebet Girma (born c. 1977) was the second person (and first woman) charged under the Terrorism Act over the 21 July 2005 London bombings, along with her sister Muluemebet Girma. She is married to Hussain Osman, who is suspected of attempting to detonate a bomb at Shepherd's Bush tube station. Her charge relates to her failure to supply information that could have helped apprehend one of the suspects of the bombings.

Prosecutors at the Old Bailey say Yeshi Girma knew about Hussain Osman's 2005 plan to bomb London's transport network and helped him escape after it failed.

A mother has said she has no regrets about reporting her sons to the police after learning they had brutally attacked a man on a night out. Carol Saldinack, 51, of Norfolk, said she was so ashamed of their behaviour she could barely look them in the eye. But if she kept quiet, she would be as guilty as they were, she told the BBC. Luke Newman, 27, and Oliver Clark, 24, were jailed for two years for their part in the attack on an innocent man, Marc Parkinson, which left him blind in one eye.

MORMONS 'HIT CHILDREN WITH ROLLING PINS - 17 April 2007
Two 'out-of-control' Mormon women tortured six children by beating them with rolling pins and whipping them with stinging nettles. Deidre Carrington and Maria Keable are also alleged to have hit them with wooden spoons, made them eat hot chillies and punched and kneed them. The pair meted out the brutal treatment to children aged from just two to 12. A boy of eight was also allegedly given gloves so he could whip the other children with nettles. Bogus DAMbusters 'HERO' is Exposed as a Fantasist

A "war hero" who fooled a Government minister into believing he flew with the Dambusters has been exposed as a fraud. Eric Jephcott's claims have been shot down in flames by his own daughter who said her father was a "fantasist and a fool".
